Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Bites

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Bites are a delicious poppable bite sized delivery method for oatmeal that your kids will love. A great kids breakfast idea.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 3 tbsp. Honey or Maple Syrup
  • 2 tbsp. Chia Seeds
  • 2 tbsp. Ground Flax Seed
  • 1 and 3/4 cups Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven to 375 degrees
    Mix together the egg, applesauce honey (or maple syrup) and cinnamon.
  • Add the Chia, flax, oats, and baking soda.  Mix everything together.  Using a 1 tbsp. scoop, scoop heaping table spoons of the mixture onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
  • Form the heaps into little round bites resembling cookies (see photos). They will not spread. The shape they are is the shape they will be after baking.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 12-14 minutes. Recipe makes 24 bites. A serving is 4 bites.
