  • 1/2 cup Milk Use any milk. Feel free to use Almond or Cashew Milk.
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
  • 8 slices Whole Wheat Bread Choose a thicker whole wheat bread.

For Coating

  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1.5 tsp. Cinnamon

  1. Preheat a griddle or cast iron pan to medium high heat. Mix the cinnamon and sugar together on a plate and set aside.

  2. Mix together the eggs, milk, cinnamon and vanilla. When the pan is hot add about 1/2 tbsp of butter to it and allow it to melt.

  3. Cut the bread into strips of 4. Dip them into the egg mixture and cook 3-4 minutes per side at medium heat.

  4. As you remove each one from the pan immediately roll it in the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Freezing Instructions

  1. Allow the french toast sticks to cool on a rack completely. Wrap them in parchment paper in packs of 4-6 and store in the freezer. When you're ready to heat put them in a toaster oven for 6-8 minutes at 400 degrees or until warmed through.
