Today was a big day around here. Recently I joined the Today Food Club to share my recipes and hopefully meet some like minded bloggers and potential readers. There are challenges on Today Food Club for different recipes and I tossed a muffin recipe on there the other morning and asked my friends to vote up the post. Just for fun I figured I’d see how many votes I could get and maybe at least make it to their front pages….
Around 9AM Friday morning my phone started buzzing. I am thinking, “wow what’s going on?” As it turned out, I wasn’t just featured on the front page, my little Strawberry Muffin Recipe was featured on the show. Al Roker said my name. Say what?! I’ve been a fan of the Today Show forever so for this to happen was big for me on a scale that I can’t even really comprehend. Before I was a sometime food blogger and college admissions representative by day, I went to college with dreams of sitting in Savannah Guthrie’s seat. For me, this was beyond huge.
While I am at it, let me just say that I am oh so thankful for technology right now. If not for DVR, my parents and some wonderful friends who took video for me, I would have completely missed this moment…. Click below to view 🙂
