The Perfect Holiday Foodie Gift Guide

The Perfect Holiday Foodie Gift Guide

We all have that friend who loves to be in the kitchen. The foodie friend.  The hostess.  Friends fans will understand the analogy that we all have a Monica in our lives and Monica is the hostess.  I am the hostess in my circle of friends, so believe me when I say I know what they want this holiday season. I call this the perfect holiday foodie gift guide because it has a wide range of gift ideas.  You can go all out for that special person or put together a really nice affordable basket of kitchen gadgets.  I love a theme gift.  Maybe a beautiful cheese board, cheese knife, and bottle of wine.  It is the thought that counts, and when you take the time to really bring a gift together, your friends and family will notice.

So here you have it- the perfect holiday foodie gift guide.  I have to tell you that when you use these links to purchase from Amazon, you’re helping my little blog to keep going.

So, let’s get to it! We have less than a month until the big day.

Lodge Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven.  I cannot say enough good things about my dutch oven. Roasts, soups, stews, and even this miracle no knead bread recipe from one of my favorite blogs, Pinch of Yum are absolutely perfect in my Lodge Cast Iron Dutch Oven.  The price is absolutely right on this one as these can run into the hundreds of dollars for other brands. Lodge is tried and true for me.  Isn’t this spice red just gorgeous too?

Lodge Cast Iron Pan…you’ve heard me rave about it over and over.  It’s probably my favorite item in The Perfect Holiday Foodie Gift Guide.   At under $20, this is the gift that will literally last a lifetime if properly cared for, but won’t break the bank.  There is absolutely nothing better than food cooked in cast iron.  It’s probably why despite decades of nonstick revolution, these are coming back to American kitchens.  Get your family and friends one and get yourself one. I cook everything in it from my Protein Packed Cheeseburger Casserole to Pumpkin Coffee Cake with Brown Sugar Swirl.

Cheese Board– Have a friend who loves a little cheese and wine?  This slate board is so elegant.  Add their favorite bottle of wine, a few wedges of cheese and you have the perfect foodie gift.  This gift set is really sweet, because not only do you get the nice board, you also get dishes and a few knives.

Sheet Pans– Nice sheet pans are hard to come by and these Rachel Ray Sheet Pans are my absolute favorite.  The color that your food gets from the nice non stick dark surface, cannot be beat.  I made my Honey Barbeque Chicken Sheet Pan Dinner on these and it comes out perfect every time.

America’s Test Kitchen Cookbook– Every true foodie appreciates the classics.  This cookbook is where everyone learns about the perfect sear and all of those tried and true kitchen hacks.  It’s truly a manual for life in the kitchen. Any seasoned foodie or chefs in training will appreciate this gift.

Silpat– This would be the perfect paring with the Rachel Ray Sheet Pans.  These are amazing for baking, because there is virtually no chance of sticking.  Silpats can be used batch after batch of cookies with no need for parchment!

Microplane– No other citrus zester measures up to the Microplane.  You can zest lemons, limes, and oranges with ease and have the guarantee you won’t have any pith in your recipe.  My Strawberry Lemon Muffins use lemon zest for a flavor punch.  You’ll find this is a tool that is used more than you would think.

Wine Tools– Many of the foodies in my life , including me, are wine lovers. This set includes openers, stoppers and it’s all enclosed in a wine bottle shaped case.  It’s one of those things you probably wouldn’t buy for yourself, but would love as a gift.  Incredibly useful and cute.

Stainless Steel Mixing Bowls– Nothing says professional kitchen like stainless steel mixing bowls. What I love about these is that they have a no-slip bottom. This means you can whip that heavy cream and not send the bowl flying across the kitchen. They also come with lids, so food prep is a snap.  You can prepare that muffin batter for the next day and place it right in the fridge!

Spiralizer– For those who are so on trend, the Spiralizer is an awesome holiday gift.  You can make those zoodles, butternut squash noodles, and sweet potato spirals with ease.  This is easily one of my most loved kitchen tools.
